Note from the Founder:

Edna Lewis said, “Women didn't 'learn' how to cook - you were born knowing how”. I have a fond memory as a child of standing in the kitchen, pretending I was hosting a cooking show like Julia Child. I would imagine cameras and lights above the stove with an adoring studio audience behind the lens; always ending the show with her signature “Bon Appétit!” At the time, my imaginary four course meals weren’t very appetizing, but I knew, one day, I would make them into a reality.

After working in a fine dining Italian restaurant in college, my life was forever changed. I had the opportunity to experience the art of pasta making for the first time, prior to that, I had only tasted pasta from a box. Brewing for over a decade, my curiosity for learning about Italian food and culture has grown into an obsession. The name Italian Soul has been bestowed upon me by those who understand my love of pasta and have adopted me into this community. 

As a Tech trainer turned lasagna enthusiast, I combine my love for pasta with my zest for teaching. My hope for The Italian Soul is to not only share the teachings of pasta making with my community but to also rebuild connections that have temporarily been interrupted due quarantine.

what if i have dietary restrictions?

Most recipes have a vegetarian or a gluten free option. If you have additional requests, submit in the message box on the inquiry form.

how do i log into zoom?

You can join the zoom invite with just one click. If you would like detailed instructions, check out this video.

which class size should i choose?

Payment is configured based on a class size and dish option. Invites are transferable in case of last minute changes or cancellations.

what if I don’t know how to cook?

All levels are welcomed! Classes are live and have pre built-in sections for participants to ask questions. I also check in on all attendees after every section of class

where is the grocery list

The grocery and equipment list along with preparation instructions are located in a downloadable document that will be send post booking
